Jessica Alba colour blocking in DVF Maxi

Celebrities in orange and purple paired with bad hair seems to be a common theme this season. First spotted was Cheryl Cole who teamed her colour blocking combo with frighteningly bouffant hair reminiscent of a look the Bee Gee’s favoured back in the 70s! Now we have Jessica Alba. She wore this Diane Von Furstenberg coral and purple maxi to the CFDA Fashion Awards last night, paired with Fallon gold cuffs and over sized earrings, Casedei peep toe pumps, a Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit Cotte de Maille clutch and really bad hair.

Jessica’s lovely DVF dress is a gorgeous maternity look and is let down by her severe and quite frankly, uninspiring ‘DIY facelift’ do. Wearing her hair loose would have created a much softer look and would have suited her elegant gown perfectly. I’m willing to let the forehead enhancing faux pas slip this time due to Alba’s usually faultless sense of style…it must be a case of baby brain kicking in!
