RED CARPET
Mobo Music Awards 2011| What they wore
It was a chilly night in Glasgow, Scotland, last night, but that didn’t stop the girls looking glam on the red carpet for the UK’s most important urban music event of the year- the Mobo awards. Black lace was a popular choice for some on the red carpet, but I was missing colour! There were the odd lips bearing some bold colours instead of the clothes, but what do you think? Too much black and white? Or is it best to stick to these colours that you know looks great? Let me know as I wanna hear what you have to say!
- Jessie J looked stunning in a lace fitted Julian Macdonald dress
- It may seem a while ago when she scooped up almost all the awards herself, but Ms Dynamite showed she can also rock it on the red carpet in a Romero Bryan print t-shirt dress and black boots capped off with silver points
- Nominated in the best newcomer category, Emeli Sande, arrives with Professor Green in a pretty lace dress and and spikey blonde hair
- British fashion model Jourdan Dunn looking red carpet worthy in her sparkly long gown while carrying a tiny red clutch
- Dionne Bromfield wore some colour with an aztec inspired top and mini blue skirt before donning a black dress for her tribute on stage to Amy Winehouse
- Keisha Buchanan wore a plunging white mini dress covered in light pink feathers and silver peep-toe pumps and hot pink lipstick
- Myleen Klass wore a satin leopard print basque fitted frock and nude pumps
- Katy B wore a navy blue zipper jumpsuit which did nothing for her fantastic figure and fabulous red hair
- Stylish Radio 1 Xtra presenter Gemma Cairney wore a slinky black dress cut out at the side
- Yay! New singer Yasmin adds some Zebra to the occasion to spice things up! I love her already!
- Maybe most of the celebs heard MOBO founder, Kanya King, was wearing black and followed suit in her honour!
- Ex-Eastenders actress Preeya Kalidas looking smoking hot on the red carpet even though it’s in another black frock!
- Jade Thompson showing us all the reasons why she was a deserving winner of the Top Model show albeit in black!
- Yet another black frock – Alexis Jordan made it work with some red lippy and painted toes with her black peep-toe pumps

Sorry girls, but my idea of “looking red carpet worthy” (Jourdan Dunn) does not involve being so agonisingly thin that you look like they’ve just taken you off a life support machine for the night!

Don’t know who that Yasmin chick is but her zebra print dress is amazing! Not much else to impress, unfortunately 🙁

Just so many boring looks on this red carpet, except for Preeya and Yasmin, the rest are just so…YAWN!
