Mia Wasikowska gives us a peak at Spring in Rodarte

I’ve only just got my winter jumpers out of my wardrobe and there are celebrities wearing dresses for Spring already! Australian actress, Mia Wasikowska attended the 2011 CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund Awards in New York and was seen wearing a lapis-blue satin dress with chiffon stripes from the Rodarte Spring 2012 collection.  The actress wore the dress with simple black heels and her hair swept up. The focus was entirely on the dress due to the lack of jewellery or over the top accessories.

Obviously it’s still early for the Spring lines to be available to buy in stores and online. The lapis blue is a great colour for winter though and there are plenty of dresses close to that colour.  This Nikita Ruched Dress (£125)  is a dress that could be worn for both  Christmas and Spring, according to Rodarte’s take on the season.

I love the Rodarte dress on Mia but I think she could have given it a bit more oomph with better accessories. A statement clutch and some simple earrings could have made the dress look a lot better. Do you agree or do you think the dress makes a statement on its own? What do you think?
