Leona Lewis vs Dita von Teese in Alexander McQueen

I’m surprised anyone would even think about wearing this dress after seeing how amazing Leona Lewis was in it! The X Factor star wore this Pre-fall 2009  Alexander McQueen piece to the Elle Style Awards in February 2010. I love her choice of accessories, especially the cute little hat. Her hair and make-up complete the sexy look perfectly. I wonder if Dita von Teese felt a little wary stepping out in the very same dress just last week? She wore the Victorian style number with black lace gloves and patterned court shoes.

For a similar keyhole design and structured sleeves, try this Black dress (£33.50). There’s not many ladies who can out-sexy Dita von Teese, but Daisy Lowe did it last time and I think Leona Lewis  beats her in this battle as well. The singer’s subtle accessories are just enough to compliment the vintage style of the dress, without taking over.

Dita von Teese loses marks for her dark tights and busy shoes. And what was she thinking wearing those long gloves that almost reach the dress sleeves?! Wrong, wrong, wrong. Vote and let me know if you agree.
