Salma Hayek vs Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci

Is it a fashion crime to mix designers within one outfit? In your case it is, Salma Hayek! The actress went for Gucci Resort 2012 with her top, blazer and pumps for the Mexico premiere of ‘Puss in Boots’ last November, but opted for Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2012 with her ruffle skirt. It was Gucci all the way for Evan Rachel Wood though, when she wore the same Lurex top and tailored jacket with trousers by the same label to a Golden Globe Awards party a couple of weeks ago. So which was the smarter choice – keeping it Gucci or mixing it up?

Salma Hayek’s mix and match outfit looks just that –  thrown together. The gold top was blinging enough, so I don’t know what she was thinking adding the bead necklace… And don’t get me started on that messy silouhette! On the other hand, Evan Rachel Wood nailed the tailored look. With her tidy hair, no jewellery and skinny trousers she made all the right choices. Please tell me you agree that Evan Rachel Wood looks way better.
