Katy Perry vs Zoe Saldana in Balmain

Zoe Saldana, Avatar star and classic beauty, wore this Balmain Spring/Summer 2012 dress last year in Miami to promote her movie Colombiana. But, we’ve seen this dress before… Supermodel, Joan Smalls wore it to a Victoria’s Secret afterparty, and Alessandra Ambrosio donned it for a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show viewing party. Who next? Only pop princess Katy Perry! She wore the Balmain dress earlier this month during Paris Fashion Week.

Zoe has had the dress modified with a white chiffon train, adding a pair of black strappy Giuseppe Zanotti heels and a pair of simple star studs. She’s gone for the classic smoky eyes and has pulled her hair into a loose updo. The train was a brave move… but are the textured heels too much with the design on the dress? Speaking of too much, Katy Perry has accessorised the piece with nude Christian Louboutin heels, a cream clutch bag and BLUE hair. Interesting.
