WHO WORE IT BETTER?
Krysten Ritter vs Delta Goodrem in Dior
The Autumn/Winter 2012 Catwalk was a black and oxblood overload, but not until Christian Dior showed their 57-piece collection where we spotted colour in the form of a Raspberry dress! Displaying some of this season’s must have details; from the brocade bodice to the sheer tulle skirt, this dress was definitely created to catch the eye.
First to get their hands on this stunning piece was Krysten Ritter when she attended the Emmy Awards Pre-Party in Hollywood back in September. Worn with Jimmy Choo dove toned sandals, and just black underwear,(Yes she did!), Ms. Ritter managed to bring a gothic vibe to this not-so-gothic dress with her pale skin and dark nail varnish. Is this a winning combination for the American Actress (or just slightly scary)?
Next to take on this tantalising dress was the beautiful Australian singer Delta Goodrem, at the Melbourne Cup, Flemmington Race Course early this month. Worn with a not-so-subtle floral headpiece and ballet flats (due to a leg injury), she was more ‘flower girl’ than edgy pop princess!
The Dior dress isn’t available online but you can pick up a similar style featuring short sleeves and shorter skirt for only £45. We can’t deny that this is a stunning, and unusual dress for Autumn/Winter 2012, but these two women couldn’t have created two more distinctly differing looks if they tried. So who wins it for you; the fetching flower girl, or gothic mistress? Personally, I can’t help but feel Krysten Ritter should have stuck with the matching pink undergarment, as worn on the Dior Catwalk but I’d like to hear your opinion! Vote below.
