WHO WORE IT BETTER?

Kara Tointon vs Emily VanCamp in Alice + Olivia

Kara Tointon looks absolutely gorgeous in this 1920’s-style flapper S/S 2012 dress by Alice + Olivia. Kara was spotted in the sequined Minka shift dress back in April, when she attended the Olivier Awards.  The ex-soap actress wore nude Christian Louboutin pumps, which went with the nude tones in the dress and a black clutch to help complete the look. Kara kept to the period of the dress with 1920’s style curls and red lips, which added even more sophistication to her outfit.

Emily VanCamp was also caught looking very demure wearing the exact same dress at the Mending Kids International ‘Four Kings & An Ace’ Celebrity Poker Tournament, in West Hollywood this month. Proving that this dress can look just as good in the Winter, the Revenge actress paired the dress with black pumps and a yellow clutch. Her subtle make-up and ballerina style high bun made her look very elegant.

The dress isn’t available right now, but have a look at this embellished shift dress (£69.00) which is just as elegant. I’m not too keen on Emily’s yellow clutch and the black pumps also look a bit too bulky. This dress definitely has a vintage feel and Kara adds to that with her hairstyle and red lips therefore she gets my vote. Who do you think wore this dress better? Vote below.
