WHO WORE IT BETTER?

Gwyneth Paltrow vs Ida Lolo in Tom Ford

By  |

Gwyneth Paltrow stunned the world at the Oscar Gala 2012 in a white, full-length Tom Ford Fall 2012 gown with a cape. The 40-year old mother of two, opted for a minimalistic look with a simple ponytail, Leslie Lopez make-up and sparse,  but truly impressive Anna Hu jewellery, including a 163 carat silver cuff and flower ring. Everything matched perfectly even down to her gold Jimmy Choo Koko platform sandals.

Gwyneth wore this frock exclusively, until Ida Lolo, wife of Russian business tycoon Mark Lolo, wore the same gown in November to the Glamour Women of The Year 2012 ceremony in Moscow. The Russian beauty went for a glossy, simple bun and  resigned from almost all accessories, only wearing a subtle white clutch, featuring a black pattern.

This column-like gown cannot be purchased online. In fact, as a part of Fall 2012 collection it was previewed only via private appointments, so we couldn’t get our hands on it even if we wanted to! If you are after a similar designer white dress you could try this one shoulder gown by BCBG Max Azria (£189.98).

So who wore it better this time? The decision is a tough one, as both celebrities look beautiful and goddess-like in this dress. My vote goes to Gwyneth though, as she chose to complement this stunning gown with really precious bling and the dress fits her body like a glove. Do You agree? Vote below!
