Kate Beckinsale vs Gracie Otto in Gucci

Kate Beckinsale wore this pale-pink, full-length Gucci dress to the Instyle Golden Globes After Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel earlier this month. The English actress complemented the strapless gown with a Neil Lane gold necklace, Brian Atwood heels and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Kate had some competition in the style stakes when Australian actress Gracie Otto chose the mustard version of the Gucci  S/S 2013 dress for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards in Sydney last week. Gracie kept it minimal by adding just a metallic clutch and finishing it off with a simple bun hairstyle.

It’s time to choose a winner and to be honest, it seems like the celebrities should have swapped dresses! Kate’s dark hair would have been a perfect match with the yellow Gucci gown and Gracie’s blonde hair and pale skin would have worked better with the nude look. But, I think it’s Gracie who handles the dress best. The design’s ruffled detailing does not need many accessories and I think Kate’s necklace is a bit too much. Do you agree? Please vote.
