WHO WORE IT BETTER?
Miranda Kerr vs Mara Brock Akil in Peter Pilotto Resort 2013
Digital prints have played a significant part in the Spring/Summer 2013 trends and Peter Pilotto is a design team known for their signature prints, explosive colours and distinct geometric shapes. The London-based label has become a favourite amongst celebrities, last time we saw Candice Swanepoel and Michelle Dokery in Peter Pilotto and now, Miranda Kerr and Mara Brock Akil were also spotted in this Natalie printed silk mini dress from the Resort 2013 collection.
Miranda’s long legs were on show in this stunning outfit when she was named Kids Helpline Ambassador in Sydney last February. The Aussie model and wife of Orlando Bloom chose minimal make-up and completed the look with an amazing white patent leather Alyssa Gucci sandals and an elegant Bulgari automatic wrist watch with a golden case.
A week later, Mara Brock Akil attended the 6th Annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon in Beverly Hills last month dressed in the same outfit. I personally think that her skin tone goes great against the bright colours of the mini dress and the TV writer and producer accessorised her look with a pair of Jimmy Choo Taste sandals and an Alexander McQueen Twin Skull clutch.
As Peter Pilotto’s Natalie dress is sold out, I suggest this Peter Jenson mixed print dress (£335) to match with these white sandals (£85) like Miranda. However, if you want a similar dress that’s a bit cheaper then try this printed skater dress (£105). These two women both look great and the dress is a gorgeous option either for a daytime or evening event. The choice is really hard this time, but I think that it looked better on Miranda. Do you agree?
