Sophia Bush Vs Anne Hathaway in 194t

Last month saw actress Sophia Bush, known for her role as the fashionable Brooke Davis in US series One Tree Hill, prove that she can put together a minimal yet chic ensemble to rival her former on-screen character. Sophia styled her 194t sweatshirt with a cropped pair of ‘Deacon’ skinny jeans by Etoile Isabel Marant. She accessorized the look further with a Mulberry Bryn satchel and coloured bracelets, a brilliant balance between smart and casual as she enjoyed a night out at the Sayers night club, California.

Sweatshirts were big on celeb-favoured designer Philip Lim’s catwalk, so it comes as no surprise that 194t’s reversible sweater has been spotted previously on both Kim Kardashian and Oscar winning actress Anne Hathaway. Anne opted for a daytime look as she wore hers with a pair of denim shorts and flats during the filming of Les Miserables back in in August last year. She showed her effortless sense of style by adding dark wayfarer sunnies and flats whilst sporting that perfect pixie haircut!

Unfortunately, the 194t sweatshirt is sold out but try this 3.1 Phillip Lim  (£274) for a more spring ’13 look. If that’s too pricey for you, how about this by ASOS for only £25?

So, WHO WORE IT BETTER? Although Anne Hathaway and Sophia Bush showed their different styles for separate events, for me personally, Anne’s look fades by being a bit too casual this time. Admittedly she left room for improvement and whilst I will grant her style points for her sunglasses and pixie cut, Sophia succeeded better in brightening up a plain sweatshirt and wins my vote.
