Alicia Keys vs Gwyneth Paltrow in Michael Kors

I love this cut-out dress from the Michael Kors Spring 2013 collection which is sophisticated yet sexy and comes in both long and short versions. Alicia Keys was in Cannes attending the creation of the NRJ Music Awards 2013 when she wore the floor-length version and she rocked it with very few accessories, only needing a statement necklace and a ring. Focus was on her sexy curves and her hair which was piled high in curls on top of her head.

When Gwyneth wore the shorter version of the same dress to the Michael Kors Golden Heart Gala in New York City back in October, Michael himself tweeted “Chic, glamorous and the ultimate philanthropist, @GwynethPaltrow looks fabulous in my black cut-out dress #GoldenHeart” and he was right! The 40 year old actress chose to accessorise with black and white Jimmy Choo Vero pumps, a small black clutch, chunky metallic cuff and a pair of Solange Azagury-Patridge exclusive Safety Pin & Love Earrings,

It’s a tough one but my vote goes to Gwyneth because even though her dress is shorter it seemed like a perfect choice for a Gala!
