Halle Berry vs Jennifer Garner in Yves Saint Laurent
Jennifer Garner and Halle Berry may be worlds apart when it comes to movie roles but, style-wise, they seem to have more in common. Both Hollywood actresses chose to wear the same dress from Yves Saint Laurent’s Pre-Fall 2010 collection for red carpet events. Halle Berry wore a red version of the gown for the Carousel of Hope Gala back in October 2010. Jennifer Garner preferred the dress in navy when she popped along to the BAFTA Brits to watchevent a few weeks ago. The girls didn’t stop there though – they even accessorised with the same YSL box clutch. Are these two sharing the same stylist?! No doubt, both ladies look beautiful, but I prefer the looser fit on Jennifer Garner’s version. It just fits in with the flowing shape of the dress better.
Who wouldn’t choose this dress to wear to a swanky party? It’s totally gorgeous! The asymmetric shape is super-glamourous. But, it’s the gathered fabric at the back of the dress, creating gorgeous falling layers, that gives it the edge. I’ve found a similar Red evening gown for $220, if you fancy the glamour look on a non-movie star budget. But before you go, what do you think? Which leading lady looks best?
