Anne Hathaway vs Katie Holmes in Madewell

When I see someone wearing a lot of denim it reminds me of B*witched circa 1998. However, these two ladies actually make all-denim look good! Back in July, Katie Holmes wore Madewell’s chambray songbird dress while out with her daughter Suri. Keeping the look casual she added bold flats, matched her bag to her belt and wore the celeb essential – huge shades.

A month later and who do we have here? Anne Hathaway has donned the Madewell dress too! She also dressed it down with some white plimsolls and a statement necklace. With a floppy hat under her arm and massive sunglasses, she’s enjoying the summer. Luckily for all you fashionistas out there, the Madewell dress (£80) is still available. Or, you could give this Mango denim dress (£34.99) with concealed side pockets a try.

Katie Holmes lost to Freida Pinto when they both wore Madewell. So, how will she get on in this fash-off against Anne..? I actually prefer Katie in the Madewell dress. I love how she’s matched her bag to the belt and added the bright pumps for some colour. Anne works the dress well too, but Katie seems to ooze summer chic. Do you agree? Let me know below!
