Evan Rachel Wood vs Robin Wright in Gucci

Evan Rachel Wood wore this strapless, dark grey Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 dress to the The Ever Changing Face of Beauty event hosted by W magazine in February last year. The American actress matched this masculine-inspired  frock with Gucci high-heels and a black belt. Rachel saved herself from looking too formal and made the look edgy with her 50’s hairstyle.

Robin Wright was seen wearing the exact same dress to the 25th Anniversary Screening & Cast Reunion of The Princess Bride during New York Film Festival in October! Sean Penn’s ex-wife kept it simple teaming the dress with a pair of black heels, a short-cut hairstyle and not even a hint of jewellery, keeping all the attention on the dress. The Gucci dress can be purchased for £835. If your after a more affordable alternative then try this check dress (£51), but hurry because it’s selling out fast!

It’s time to choose the winner and it seems that both celebrities haven’t made the most of this dress. Evan added a few more accessories, however a tiny clutch would have complemented the look. Robin’s outfit would have benefited from some jewellery, to distract from the formality of the dress.
