WHO WORE IT BETTER?
Julia Stiles vs Bella Thorne in AllSaints
There’s nothing that makes us British feel prouder than when celebrities from other parts of the world are seen wearing Brit brands! And I was pleasantly surprised to spot, not one but two, American actresses in the same AllSaints mini dress. Bella Thorne wore AllSaints from head to toe starting with their Othea mini dress and finishing with their Manifest ankle boots for the L.A premiere of Warm Bodies in January. I think this outfit suits the young Disney Channel actress and it really highlights her natural beauty.
During the same week, at the 24th Annual Producers Guild of America Awards in Beverly Hills, spotted also was Julia Stiles wearing the same mini dress. What I liked the most about this garment is that its so versatile that with just a few accessories the final result is completely altered. In fact, the Emmy Awarded star of Dexter opted for a more grown-up look; she chose a pair of Jerome C. Rousseau Simkes colourblock platform sandals and a small black clutch.
I love this dress! It skims the silhouette in a flattering way thanks to the way it drapes in light Japanese fabric and the twisted shoulder detail just looks fabulous! WHO WORE IT BETTER? My vote goes to Bella! I am a big fan of red hair and If we were voting based on hair colour alone, my vote would still have gone to Bella. I think her overall style screams effortless style and looks the best. And the good news is that it’s really easy for you to replicate her style!
The AllSaints Othea dress is available in black or grey at a reasonable £148 however, if you can afford to splash out then try this black silk dress (£423) by Helmut Lang for an alternative look. Now, who do you think looks the best?
