WHO WORE IT BETTER?
Sami Gayle vs AnnaSophia Robb in Nanette Lepore
Only recently were Sami Gayle and AnnaSophia Robb caught accessorising their outfits with an oversized clutch bag by Nanette Lepore.
First to be seen with the gorgeous clover green bag was TV star Sami Gayle. She was spotted wearing a two-toned floral frock in a divine coral shade to ‘The Host’ Film premiere in New York City. Whilst choosing a super-feminine outfit she teamed it perfectly: the bright green statement clutch and matching strappy 70’s-inspired platform sandals. But haven’t we seen this combination of pieces around before? Sami’s actually sporting head-to-toe Nanette Lepore with the designer’s ‘Sound Art’ dress, ‘Addicted To You’ heels and ‘Tilt-A-Whirl’ clutch. Thankfully, her pixie crop and almond eyes were enhanced with bronze shadow and thick black eyeliner to reflect some of her own quirky personality.
Not too long after Sami, AnnaSophia Robb was captured holding this beautiful clutch too! This time at the Cort Theatre in New York during the broadway opening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Opting for a monochrome 60’s outfit, which is so on trend right now, she looked stunning. The dress from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet shows off her petite figure along with fuschia heels by Jean-Michel Cazabat. AnnaSophia has clearly been paying attention as the colour-clashing fashionista Carrie Bradshaw, on set of ‘The Carrie Diaries’. The experimentation of colours and materials could have gone wrong, but with the fuschia in suede instead of patent, she stylishly avoided the ‘tacky’ pile.
Unfortunately this clover green and white clutch isn’t available online but this fold over clutch bag (£423) is a great alternative. Why not mix up your outfit and go with these perfect fuschia court heels (£55) by GUESS?
Now, to the serious stuff. My vote this week is going to AnnaSophia Robb! Her choice of colours and materials works so well whilst Sami’s outfit is a little too mixy-matchy for my liking. But what do you think? Let me know by voting now!
