Kelis, Daphne Guiness & Lady Gaga in McQueen’s alien shoes

Kelis, Daphne Guiness and Lady Gaga are three women not exactly known for their conventional dress sense, but maybe this is taking it one, ahem, step too far? These crazy alien shoes from the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 collection certainly look striking, if not very easy to walk in. Sometimes though, fashion is more about making a statement than anything else and if that’s what these two were after, they certainly got it.

Kelis teamed hers with a pink catsuit and tuxedo, plus an ankle-length silver plait in her hair, whilst Daphne went for a shimmering blue mini dress and silver cinch belt. If you ask me, they both look like they’ve just stepped straight off of the set of Avatar. Lady Gaga went for the snake-print version of McQueen’s shoes and seems to be in the middle of undressing at the airport with her gold jacket half off and not much on except her underwear and a leather belt. They might have looked great on the catwalk, but do they really have the same appeal anywhere else?

So, who wore it better, or rather, who didn’t wear it the worst?
