WHO WORE IT BETTER?

Kelly Rowland vs Lake Bell in Cushnie et Ochs

By  |

Same dress, same size, even the same pose! Kelly Rowland and Lake Bell both look good in this Cushnie et Ochs Fall/Winter 2011 Spider black dress, but which one’s got the X Factor? Singer, Kelly Rowland, wore the webtastic dress to the release party for her new album, Here I am, at the end of July. She piled on the sparkly jewellery and added some silver platforms. Actress, Lake Bell stepped out in this piece for a screening of A Good Old Fashioned Orgy at the end of August. Lake Bell went for a much cleaner look, adding a chunky bangle and a silver box clutch to the outfit. She finished the look with some gorgeous black pumps with silver detail on the toes.

I love this dress on both girls, but Lake Bell steals it with her classic styling and Salvatore Ferragamo shoes. She even wore her hair up to show off the web design at the top of the dress – top marks, Lake! Kelly, you really should have gone for a pony tail and given those heavy Alejandro Ingelmo shoes a miss. Caught up in the spider’s web design of this dress? You’ll love this Black Bodycon dress for £42. Now tell me who you’re sending to style bootcamp?

I don’t know who she is but I agree with you – Lake Bell wins fully on account of those shoes. Though a close tie, those chunky shoes overpower the dress on Kelly.

Lake Bell, no doubt. Kelly’s is beautiful, but looks too try hard with the long hair and heavy shoe which is killing this look. Lake Bell however, proved that less is always more. She wore the right shoe, and showed off her dress and beautiful figure with her hair up in a very understated manner. Top marks for Lake Bell.

You’re soo right, Lisa. Kelly’s hair down and those horrible shoes make the look so heavy and the web design just gets lost in there, somewhere. Lake wins!
